A Millennial Opinion

A Millennial Opinion is Maria Julia's first attempt at creating a platform for research-oriented, analytical essays written by a community of millennials with a keen eye for detail and a unique perspective, deserving of being shared.

The collection presented in this blog is made up of essays that are either peer-reviewed or reviewed by the college professor or supervisor of the essay's author.

The purpose of this blog is primarily to share alternative point of views, produced by a generation that is unapologetically opinionated and passionate about cultural, social, political, economic, and ideologic issues, among others. The secondary purpose of this blog is to create proverbial food-for-thought targeting specifically fellow millennials. A Millennial Opinion is by no means an accredited academic journal, neither is it a publisher; this blog's mission is to share good writing, and start conversations as a result too. In fact, it welcomes submissions from a wide variety of authors, in different sections and while it is currently a work-in-progress, there is hope that more will submit and participate to this experiment.

Maria Julia is currently editor of the blog. She studies Political Science and History in New York City and is interested in various areas, ranging from the conditions for war and peace, to gender theories and their intersection with political ideologies, as well as the implications of free market economics. She is a believer in the saying "your worth is determined by the worth you give other people" and encourages the participation of young people in philanthropic work and community service.
